Details of Assam Printing and Stationery Department Recruitment:
1. Senior Information & Public Relations Officer
Number of posts: 04 posts [UR: 03, OBC/MOBC: 01]
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 13,900/-
Educational Qualification:
– A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university (Professional/Technical Degrees are allowed)
– A degree/diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from a UGC-recognized institute or at least five years of experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/Government Public Relations Department
– Proficiency in English
– Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional or local language of the state
– Knowledge of Computer Applications: The candidates must possess a minimum of six months Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a government-recognized institute
2. Junior Information & Public Relations Officer
Number of posts: 04 posts [UR: 03, OBC/MOBC: 01]
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 12,700/-
Educational Qualification:
– A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university (Professional/Technical Degrees are allowed)
– A degree/diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from a UGC-recognized institute or at least three years of experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/Government Public Relations Department
– Proficiency in English
– Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional or local language of the state

Age Limit: The candidates should be between 21 and 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023. However, certain age relaxations apply:
– 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e., up to 43 years
– 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, i.e., up to 41 years
– Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) have a relaxation of 10 years, irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR categories, as per government regulations.
