Assam Bidhan Sabha has released a recruitment notification for the selection of candidates for various posts in the Bodo Cell of the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat. The details of the recruitment are as follows:
1. Deputy Secretary
– Number of Posts: 01
– Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000-1,10,000/- + GP-15,700 P.M. in Pay Band – 4 and other allowances
– Minimum Educational Qualification: MA in Bodo Language with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with a Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Translation Studies.
– Experience Essential:
– Minimum ten years of working experience in translation, editing, and composing in government offices/education department/legislative assembly.
– Minimum five publications (books/magazines/journals/papers).
– Workshop/training in translation/editing/composing.
– Computer/digital knowledge.
– Working experience in the field of the concerned language and literature.
2. Under Secretary
– Number of Posts: 01
– Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000-1,10,000/- + GP-14,500 P.M. in Pay Band – 4 and other allowances
– Minimum Educational Qualification: MA in Bodo with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with a Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Translation Studies.
– Experience Essential:
– Minimum ten years of working experience in translation, editing, and composing in government offices/education department/legislative assembly.
– Minimum five publications (books/magazines/journals/papers).
– Workshop/training in translation/editing/composing.
– Computer/digital knowledge.
– Working experience in the field of the concerned language and literature.
3. Interpreter (Bodo Language)
– Number of Posts: 02
– Scale of Pay: Rs. 14,000-70,000/- + GP-5,200 P.M. in Pay Band – 3 and other allowances
– Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with adequate knowledge in Bodo, Assamese, and English languages. Preference will be given to candidates with a Diploma or Certificate course in Translation Studies.
– Experience Essential:
– Computer/digital knowledge.
– Minimum two-year translation, interpretation, or teaching experience in the concerned language subject.
– Working experience in the field of the concerned language, literature, and parliamentary works.
4. Senior Administrative Assistant (Bodo Language)
– Number of Posts: 01
– Scale of Pay: Rs. 22,000-97,000/+GP 9,400 P.M. in Pay Band – 3 and other allowances
– Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with adequate knowledge in Bodo, Assamese, and English languages.
– Experience Essential:
– Diploma in Computer Application.
– DTP experience in the concerned language subject.
– Working experience in the field of the concerned area and parliamentary works or administrative working experience.
5. Translator (Bodo Language)
– Number of Posts: 02
– Scale of Pay: Rs. 14,000-70,000/- + GP-8,700 P.M. in Pay Band – 3 and other allowances
– Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Bodo Language as a MIL subject up to degree level. Preference will be given to candidates with a Diploma or Certificate course in Translation Studies.
– Experience Essential:
– Minimum two-year translation, editing, or teaching experience in the concerned language subject.
– Computer/digital knowledge

Age Limit:
– The candidate should be at least 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as of the application date.
– Age relaxation is applicable for OBC/MOBC candidates (3 years) and SC/ST (P) & (H) candidates (5 years).
Application Procedure:
– Candidates need to submit their applications in the Standard Form (Assam Gazette, Part-IX).
– The application form should be filled out completely and submitted along with a properly filled bio-data on an A4 sheet.
– The applications should be sent to the following address: Secretary, Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Dispur, Guwahati-6, Assam.
– The last date for receiving applications is 10th July 2023.
Important Notes:
– The name of the position and language applied for should be clearly mentioned on the envelope containing the application.
– Illegible or incomplete applications and those not conforming to the prescribed eligibility criteria and instructions will be rejected.
– Self-attested identical recent passport-size photographs should be affixed on the application form.
– All furnished particulars, except the residential address, will be considered final, and no changes will be allowed later.
– Candidates should provide self-attested copies of relevant certificates and mark sheets along with the application form.
