The Government of Assam has initiated the online application process for the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme 2023, also known as ARBAS 2023. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online for the ARBAS 2023 Award on the official SEBA portal.

The Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme is named in honor of Late Anundoram Borooah, who was the fourth Indian (and the first Assamese) to join the prestigious Indian Civil Service (ICS) and the first Indian to be appointed as Deputy Commissioner.

The award was launched by the Government of Assam in 2005 with the aim of fostering healthy competition among students and helping them enhance their knowledge and information through IT education.

Details of the ARBAS Laptop Award Scheme:

Until 2019, eligible students under the Anundoram Borooah Laptop Award Scheme received a laptop computer, a 2-year 3G/4G Internet Connection Subscription, a certificate, books on all subjects as per the NCERT course in PDF format, digital content (2D/3D animation, audio/video) for each stream, and an Online Coaching and Score Improvement System (OLCSIS) for Science students.

However, in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting the supply chain, the government awarded Rs. 20,000/- to the students instead of a laptop computer.

For this year, the government has decided to transfer Rs. 16,000/- to the bank account of every eligible student.

Eligibility Criteria for ARBAS Scheme:

– Educational Qualification & Percentage: Students who have secured Star Marks or 75% or more in HSLC, Higher Madrassa, and FM Examinations conducted by SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are eligible to apply for this scheme.
– Year of Passing: Students must have passed their qualifying examination in 2023 with the mentioned percentage.
– Examination Board: Only students who passed their qualifying examination from SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are eligible to apply for this scheme.

How to Apply for ARBAS Scheme:

Eligible students who fulfill the ARBAS eligibility criteria for 2023 can follow these steps to fill out the online application form:

1. Scroll down and go to the Important Web-Links section.
2. Click on the Online Application Form Link.
3. The official web portal will be displayed.
4. Enter your Roll Code, Roll No, and Date of Birth, and click on the Login button.
5. Fill in all the required details, including bank account information, and save the page.
6. Upload the necessary documents and submit your application.
7. After submitting the application, an acknowledgment receipt will be generated. Keep a copy of it.
