Sir Henry Stedman Cotton, the Chief Commissioner of the former British province of Assam, established it in 1901. In 1948, it became a constituent college of Gauhati University. Eligibility Criteria for Cotton University PG Admission:
To be eligible for admission to Cotton University’s Postgraduate Degree Programs, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours/Major from a recognized university. For LLM, candidates should have an LLB degree. However, Honours/Major is not required for MCA and PG Diploma programs. Candidates appearing in the UG Final Semester Examination 2023 are also eligible to apply.
