The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam has introduced a new online portal called SAMARTH for students to apply for admission in BA, BCom, and BSc courses under DHE Assam. SAMARTH is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, launched in 2019 as part of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT-II, now NMEICT-III). The objective of SAMARTH is to enable universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in India.
